GP Lemonade By The Green Pirate

It’s almost Memorial Day! This week, we’re posting a new recipe every day so you’re ready to go this weekend with everything from Mexican corn to potato salad to shame anything your friends bring to the barbecue. From the organic, nutrition-focused juices that they squeeze to order, to the biodiesel fuel the truck runs on, or the fact they compost everything The Green Pirate is by sure the most progressive, environmentally focused truck in NYC. And, with all the pork and burgers you’re sure to consume this Memorial Day, a vibrant refresher is surely due. Here’s the Green Pirate’s Lemonade recipe.

GP LEMONADE

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon, halved.
  • 1 cucumber, peeled & sliced.
  • 1 red apple, peeled & sliced.

Juicer Directions

  • 1) Throw the lemon, cucumber, and red apple into the juicer.
  • 2) Stir the juice to mix, then serve.

Blender Directions

  • 1) Throw your apple and cucumber slices into a blender.
  • 2) Squeeze lemon juice into blender.
  • 3) Add 1/4 cup water.
  • 4) Blend, pour, serve!
