In this episode of VendrTV, Dan visited Calexico Carne Asada, a New York City street cart owned by three brothers who hail from Calexico, CA.
The cart has multiple locations, all of which can be found on Calexico’s website. When Dan met up with them they were parked at the intersection of Prince and Wooster.

Wow that looked so damn good, I love “street meat” when I make it into Toronto for a game etc, but this place clearly takes it to the next level. Cool find, great show.

@hockeycardshow
can’t wait to check it out. thanks!
Dan,
Great video. Man alive we need you out here on the West Coast….we don’t have a proliferation of vendors like these….we need someone to sniff out the goods ones and enlightening the public……damn you New York!
Great Video…Great find. The voice quality was not all that great when interviewing, compared to the first vid. Great stuff. Cant wait for you to post more!
Great treasure, street vendors are oftentimes overlooked. Thanks for sharing.
Growing up in east LA I was used to a certain level of quality and consistency in mexican cuisine that you just can’t find on the east coast.
I eat at this fuckin’ cart everyday !!
Dan great job in spreading the word, now I’ll have to show up at 10:30AM, instead of 11:30AM to get my food !!
Thanks,
Miles

p.s.
someone told me the desserts on “The Dessert Truck” are off the meat-rack.
Having lived in the southwest for 4 years, GOOD Mexican food is incredibly important to me… this looks legit. Nice work.
Awesome! When I visit my brother in Soho, I’ll make him take me there!
Looking forward to more!
You learn a different food spot every day in New York… I love this city.
Check out my latin food blog http://www.beyondburritos.com
Nice work! I’ll have to do a cross post on this one
Dan,
I just found your show linked on Portland Food Carts. So I’ve been watching the all episodes yesterday and today. On the Calexico episode, I cracked up when the bro said he gets up and smokes some “hydro” before going down to the cart. Can’t wait to see your west coast shows.
Cheers,
Scott
Just saw the video…you can’t be from Calexico and NOT know how to grill…especially Carne Asada…these guys look legit…great feature…thanks for the memory guys! CHS Class of ‘83
