Arguably one of Providence’s most noted (and mobile) landmarks is The Haven Brother’s Diner. For over one hundred years this flatbed grounded mobile eatery has trucked into the city and parked at it’s grandfathered location (right next to City Hall) where it dishes out burger, fries, and other greasy spoon classics.

I stopped by and met with Ivan Giusti, who’s family owns and operates the third generation of this gem. Finally it was time to feast! To me, nothing sounded better than The Murder Burger and a shake! And it was the perfect way to cap off the night.

My favourite diner is Lori's Diner down on Powell Street in San Francisco. I love the 50s theme that runs throughout and their strawberry milkshakes are so thick, creamy and not over the top sweet – I love it every time. Too bad I'm back in Sydney, Australia I can't walk down the road for it!

Wow, 1888! I don't really have favorite diner but there used to be a place when I was growing up called the “Double Double Mr Big Burgers” that was phenomenal, doesn't exist any more sadly, they made the best hamburgers I've tried ever. I miss them so much. There was a second favorite to that one (also extinct) called “Smile Burger” which was an incredible rock and roll joint (everyone played there, from Depeche Mode to The Cure when they toured round these parts), their hamburgers and hot dogs are legendary, people still talk about them specially one called The Buddha, it was triple everything and was 1.5 pounds of meaty deliciousness.
Hmm, seems my favorite places are non existent ones… need new favorites.
