Cart Crawl w/ Joe DiStefano (Jackson Heights, Queens)
82nd St. and Roosevelt Ave
This week Dan’s joined by food writer Joe DiStefano where the two hit the streets of Jackson Heights, Queens to sample the Mexican and Ecuadorian fare.
I grew up and Queens and yes you are only scratching the surface my friend. Only Mexican?? What about the other amazing cultures on Roosevelt Ave? Colombian food, Halal, Indian, wish you could have been a bit more diverse here but love the concept.
maybe I can finish the journey on one of my posts. Check out my latin food blog www.beyondburritos.com
I enjoyed the Cart Crawl Episode! :) Made me hungry for all those great foods!
In Houston (Texas), the food carts are equivalent to our taco trucks because we are so spaced apart. (We really have to drive to get anywhere and our public transportation sucks). And if not for the taco trucks, we just stop by the many Mexican restaurants here in town! :)
Way to go after it! I'm loving this show. I'm also craving some NY street cuisine. You'll have to come see the Tamale ladey in San Francisco at some point.
