Cart Crawl w/ Joe DiStefano (Jackson Heights, Queens)
82nd St. and Roosevelt Ave
This week Dan’s joined by food writer Joe DiStefano where the two hit the streets of Jackson Heights, Queens to sample the Mexican and Ecuadorian fare.
I grew up and Queens and yes you are only scratching the surface my friend. Only Mexican?? What about the other amazing cultures on Roosevelt Ave?
Colombian food, Halal, Indian, wish you could have been a bit more diverse here but love the concept.
I enjoyed the Cart Crawl Episode! Made me hungry for all those great foods!
In Houston (Texas), the food carts are equivalent to our taco trucks because we are so spaced apart. (We really have to drive to get anywhere and our public transportation sucks). And if not for the taco trucks, we just stop by the many Mexican restaurants here in town!
Way to go after it! I’m loving this show. I’m also craving some NY street cuisine. You’ll have to come see the Tamale ladey in San Francisco at some point.
[...] dinner, Paul and I went to try to find the churro cart that he saw on Vendr.TV, but no luck. Instead we walked around looking at other restaurants. Then we sat on the train [...]
The joyous look on your face as you looked into the burrito cart was priceless. I’m so hungry right now. When’s the next train to Queens?!
Buen post, las ideas son muy relevantes. http://FundacionAsis.Org
You lucky SOB…..yeah just rub it in our face. Thanks Dan! “Who would ever go to Taco Bell?…..”
That churro looked absolutely phenomenal.
I love the show!!! I want more of it

Hey Dan,
Way to hog all the food! Joe looks starved, like he is eagerly awaiting the scraps left over from your feeding frenzy!
But seriously, keep up the good work, love the show so far!

All that food looked amazing. Now I have a longing for delicious tacos, but I won’t be able to sate it for awhile. Curses!
Looking at the churros, the wife and I venture looking for it. 3 times we went and came up empty … where is this fresh churro cart???
