Torchy’s Tacos (Austin, TX)

South Austin Trailer Park & Eatery

When I was calling around, figuring out what to film in Austin, every single person I talked to said the same thing: “You’re filming Torchy’s? Right?”… What was this Torchy’s they spoke of?!

So, when there I finally made my way over to take a taste. Wow! Talk about stretching the gamut! The tacos from Torchy’s range from egg stuffed hangover cures to deep fried avocado with spicy chipotle aioli – all made fresh, to order, and served to you in their chill outdoor patio area. Awesome.

Next time you’re in Austin, they’re a MUST VISIT – torchystacos.com

Marination Mobile http://www.marinationmobile.com has some awesome tacos here in the Seattle area. Kalbi – Tender short ribs marinated in Kamala’s version of the iconic Korean recipe. Soy-based marinade all hugged up with garlic, and a mistress of citrus to satisfy your need for salty-sweet variety love. Also the Spicy pork – A progressive version of classic Korean bulgogi. Rich red pepper smackdown heats up the belly but leaves your mouth in tact. Sliced super thin for flavor galore. These are my favorites, they have some other choices also.

You will have to check it out next time you are in the NW.

Best taco place in the country, Get the double wide on select days and you will not be sorry, get it extra trashy and forget about doing anything the rest of the day!

Just stumbled upon vendrtv looking for great websites to help in our upcoming travels. Last traveled to Austin August 2010 & of course had to snag a torchy (deep fried avocado of course)!
